# ConductScience Fear Conditioning Analyzer: method and validation record

This record fixes the calculation behind the free Fear Conditioning Analyzer at https://conductscience.com/tools/fear-conditioning-analyzer, and the worked examples that check it.

## What the tool computes

From freezing percentages entered for each animal:

- cued freezing, the CS freezing percent minus the pre-CS freezing percent;
- contextual freezing, the freezing percent in the conditioning context;
- a generalisation score, conditioning-context freezing minus neutral-context freezing;
- group means and SEMs of each measure.
